    Neurofeedback Therapy

A noninvasive, supportive approach that helps strengthen awareness, regulation, attention, and resilience when clinically appropriate.

Training the Brain for Better Regulation

Neurofeedback (also known as EEG biofeedback) is an advanced, non-invasive brain training method that helps the nervous system learn to function more smoothly. For neurodivergent individuals—especially those navigating ADHD, anxiety, or trauma—the brain often gets stuck in patterns of hyperarousal (overwhelm) or underarousal (fog, lack of focus).

Neurofeedback provides real-time information about your brainwave activity, allowing your brain to gradually learn how to self-regulate. It serves as a powerful adjunct to traditional talk therapy, supporting the physiological foundation needed for emotional and cognitive flexibility.

    How It Supports Neurodivergent Individuals

Our approach to neurofeedback is neurodiversity-affirming. We are not trying to "cure" ADHD or autism; we are helping the nervous system find a more comfortable, resilient baseline.

    • Attention and Focus: Helps stabilize brainwaves associated with sustained attention, making it easier to engage in tasks without exhausting effort.
    • Anxiety and Overwhelm: Trains the brain to shift out of chronic "fight or flight" states, promoting deeper relaxation and a sense of safety.
    • Emotional Regulation: Supports the brain's ability to recover more quickly from emotional flooding or rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD).
    • Sleep and Recovery: Many clients find that improved brain regulation leads to better sleep quality, which is crucial for burnout recovery.

    What to Expect

Neurofeedback is a painless, passive process. During a session:

    • Small sensors are placed on your scalp to monitor your brainwave activity (they only read signals, they do not send any electricity into your brain).
    • You will typically watch a video, listen to music, or play a simple game.
    • The software gently guides your brainwaves toward more optimal patterns by adjusting the audio or video (e.g., the screen brightens when your brain is in a desired state).
    • Over time, through repetition, the brain learns to maintain these regulated states on its own.

    Is Neurofeedback Right for You?

Suitability is determined on a case-by-case basis during your consultation. While outcomes vary, many clients find it to be a highly effective, medication-free tool for supporting nervous system regulation.
